Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This statement applies to mtdfox.co.uk and the MTDFox app. We want everyone to be able to keep their tax records with it, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
- Text can be resized to 200% and public pages reflow on phones and tablets without sideways scrolling.
- Colour contrast meets AA on text and controls, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Animations respect the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system.
- Forms have visible labels, and errors are described in text next to the field.
- The mobile menu and the cookie banner work without JavaScript.
Known problems
- Receipt images uploaded by users have no text alternative.
- PDF and spreadsheet templates in the resource library have not yet been checked with a screen reader.
We are fixing these in order and will update this page as each one is done.
If you cannot use part of the service
Email info@mtdfox.co.uk and tell us the page and what went wrong. We reply within two working days and can provide records or reports in another format, or enter records for you over email while a problem is fixed.
How we test
Every public page is checked automatically on each release with Lighthouse and an HTML audit, and manually with keyboard navigation and the VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers on the sign-up, transactions and quarterly update flows.
Your rights
The Equality Act 2010 requires us to make reasonable adjustments for disabled users. If you are unhappy with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
